Approximately 100 grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride, or shabu were seized by elements of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) on October 14, 2014 during a buy-bust operation in Biñan City, Laguna.

PDEA Director General Undersecretary Arturo G. Cacdac, Jr. said that the illegal drugs were confiscated from Ching-Sui Yeh, alias Tony, a 58-year-old Chinese national residing in Metroville Complex, Brgy. Canlalay, Biñan City, Laguna.

At around 3:00 in the afternoon, a drug transaction was hatched between the suspect and a PDEA undercover agent who agreed to meet in the neighborhood of Metroville Complex, Brgy. Canlalay, Biñan City, Laguna.

Upon a pre-arranged signal, elements of PDEA Regional Office 4A (PDEA RO-4A) under Director Director Adzhar A. Albani immediately pounced on the suspect after he handed-over two pieces of medium-sized heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing approximately 100 grams.

Seized pieces of drug evidence were brought to the PDEA RO4A laboratory for forensic examination, while Ching is temporarily detained at the PDEA RO4A detention cell.

Ching is now facing charges for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), and Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of Republic Act 9165, or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

On October 14, 2014, at around 3:00 pm, the same law enforcement unit of PDEA RO4A conducted a buy-bust operation in the vicinity of Balibago Complex, Brgy. Balibago, Santa Rosa City, Laguna that led to the arrest of Jeric Ogoy y Butuin, 22, and a resident MRH Tala Maria, Caloocan City.

Confiscated from Ogoy were one piece of small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet of suspected shabu and the marked money. He will be charged for violation of Section 5, Article II of RA 9165.
