The Finance Management Service (FMS) of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) has been chosen as one of this year’s Outstanding Accounting Offices by the Association of Government Accountants of the Philippines (AGAP), Inc.

“We are honored that the AGAP through the recommendation of the Commission on Audit (COA) has chosen PDEA for the third time. The award was given to PDEA in recognition for its quality, timeliness and accuracy of its Fiscal Year (FY) 2013 financial reports,” according to PDEA Director General Undersecretary Arturo G. Cacdac, Jr.

PDEA FMS Director Engr. Salome DR Jose together with her staff received the award for its vital role in the area of innovative fund administration that would enable government to provide immediate response to challenges in financial management without sacrificing transparency and accountability. The award was presented on October 21, 2014 at the Camp John Hay Trade and Cultural Center in Baguio City. Earlier, the PDEA-FMS received the same award for FY 2009 and FY 2012.

“PDEA is very honored to have our efforts recognized by COA and AGAP. It is indeed a privilege to be considered one of the ten outstanding government agencies in financial management, transparency and accountability,” the PDEA Chief said.
