The Social Security System (SSS), in collaboration with the Quezon City Government Office of the Vice Mayor, spearheaded the 2nd Grand Launching of AlkanSSSya Program held at the Quezon City Memorial Circle Basketball Court last October 9. The event highlights include the awarding of AlkanSSSya units to two tricycle operators and drivers associations (TODA) and a group of job order and contractual workers from a local government unit (LGU) covered by the SSS Commonwealth Branch. These three groups, which account for 270 workers overall, include the Barangay Commonwealth TODA, Kapalaran TODA, and the Barangay Payatas LGU.

With the groups’ new AlkanSSSya units, the covered workers can now save for their retirement and other financial contingencies and become entitled to SSS benefits and loan privileges through an active SSS membership. The units given to these three ISGs are among those sponsored by the Quezon City Government Office of the Vice Mayor.
