As part of the annual celebration of National Science and Technology Week hosted by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), the DOST- Science and Technology Information Institute (STII) will hold the Science Journalism Writeshop on July 28 at the STII Mini Theater at DOST Complex, Bicutan, Taguig City.

The seminar is designed to train and impart knowledge to future science journalists, enhancing their awareness in and appreciation of science communication and journalism, and the importance of science to social and economic development

Moreover, the writeshop sessions will feature DOST-developed technologies on agriculture and health to be discussed by experts, and participants will prepare articles based on the discussion, complemented by their own interview and research.

Campus paper advisers, campus journalists, and communication students around Metro Manila were pre-invited as participants in said workshop.

The celebration of the 2016 NSTW will also run simultaneously in other venues in SM Mall of Asia, Pasay City; Science Garden in Quezon City, PCAARRD Complex in Los Baños, Laguna and in all DOST Regional Offices nationwide from July 25-29.
