The National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) announced the conduct of Special PNP Promotional Examinations for police officers who are about to be attrited due to non-promotion. The period of filing of applications started on June 27 until July 17, 2017.

NAPOLCOM Vice-Chairman and Executive Officer Atty. Rogelio T. Casurao said that the special promotional exams scheduled on July 30, 2017 are open exclusively to all PNP uniformed personnel (Police Officers, Senior Police Officers, Police Inspectors and Police Superintendents) who are college graduates and who were not promoted for at least nine (9) years as of December 31, 2017.

Application forms and index cards can be obtained for free at any NAPOLCOM Regional Office nationwide. They may also be downloaded from www.napolcom.gov.ph.

Applicants may file their application forms personally at any of the 18 NAPOLCOM Regional Offices nationwide indicating their choice of examination center, i.e., Makati City (NCR), Cebu City (Region 7), Tacloban City (Region 8), Zamboanga City (Region 9) and General Santos City (Region 12). Applications received through postal mail shall not be processed.

Application form must be accompanied by the following documents: two recent, identical and color 1”x1” ID pictures with white background and complete name tag (indicate the rank before the name); one legal size window envelope with P20 worth of mailing stamp; certified true copy of Attested Appointment, Plantilla Appointment or PNP Absorption Order; and Report of Rating/Certification issued by the NAPOLCOM Central Office, CSC Certificate of Eligibility and/or PRC Board Certificate.

An examinee who failed in the special exam, or failed to take the test after being admitted, and decided to apply again for the same test category in the same exam center shall submit only the Admission Slip of the last exam applied for; fill out a new application form and index card with ID pictures; and pay the examination fee.

Examination fee is P400 for the Police Officer Examination; P450 for Senior Police Officer Examination; P500 for Police Inspector Examination; and P600 for Police Superintendent Examination.
