POLLS IN CENTRAL LUZON!

CAMP OLIVAS, PAMPANGA Police Regional Office 3 Director, PCSUPT RUDY G LACADIN, said the 2016 National and Local Elections in region 3 is generally peaceful considering that only six (6) election related incidents validated by PRO3 and COMELEC have been recorded since the start of election period on January 10.

Although Nueva Ecija was in the list of election watchlist areas, from May 6 up to press time, only thirty (30) incidents recorded within the region which includes liquor ban, indiscriminate firing, shooting incidents, vote buying and electioneering.

Meanwhile police authorities continue securing the Vote Counting Machines (VCMs) which are still being transported back to their provincial hubs and augmented troops from the Regional Public Safety Battalion 3 are still deployed in Lanao del Sur and Maguindanao awaiting directives for pull out from the National Headquarters.

PCSUPT LACADIN said, β€œthe success of the National and Local Elections here in Central Luzon is the result of the concerted efforts of the COMELEC, PNP and AFP thru the Regional Joint Security Coordinating Center as well as other law enforcement and government agencies who worked hand in hand to ensure the safety and security of this national exercise and local elections of 2016” (Cris Palarca)
