Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – In keeping with the “Bayanihan to heal as one Act,” Central Luzon Cops headed by PRO3 Regional Director PBGEN RHODEL O SERMONIA together with USEC JOEL EGCO distributed grocery packs, sacks of rice and dressed chickens to around 2,000 different members of the labor sector composed of market vendors, drivers, factory workers and farmers across the region, Thursday, April 30.
PBGEN SERMONIA’s initiative highlights the importance of the labor sector, which stands in sharp contrast to the possible conduct of massive protest of labor groups in time with the celebration of Labor Day on Friday, May 1. “We are truly grateful to all our stakeholders for these donations since these are of great advantage to us in fulfilling our commitment of delivering the best police services especially during this time of crisis.
We are scaling up our relief operations in order to reach all members of the society particularly the vulnerable sectors. This time, we are extending our support to the labor sector whose role in our country is very vital. We want to send a strong message to our laborers that the government and the police are always here for them,” PBGEN SERMONIA added. Said activity is a prelude to another relief operation for the laborers to be conducted on Labor Day. (CRIS PALARCA)
