The National Dairy Authority-Visayas Department recently conducted a training on Basic Dairy Husbandry and Silage Making for 33 dairy farmers of Maasin, Iloilo. The trainings, which consists of a lecture and an actual demonstration, was held at the St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church grounds.
Despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the NDA and its partners continue to work together and carry out activities that will help dairy farmers improve their productivity and profitability. For them, life goes on as farms still have to produce food even in these difficult times. During the training, safety protocols were followed such as taking the temperature of participants, hand sanitizing and wearing of face mask.
The training was facilitated by NDA Iloilo Project Management Team led by Mr. Vicente Bitolinamisa III and assisted by Ms. May Irish Sumande Alcala.
