FORT MAGSAYSAY, Nueva Ecija – A 230-million worth of bridges will be constructed in Barangay Cadayacan and Barangay Bayanihan in Maria Aurora, Aurora as the Local Government Unit broke ground for the start of its construction on November 17, 2021.
The said activity was led by Aurora Representative Rommel Rico T. Angara and was attended by Lieutenant Colonel Reandrew P. Rubio, Commanding Officer of 91st Infantry (SINAGTALA) Battalion together with Sangguniang Panglalawigan members Santi Palmero, Sid Galban and Philip Bautista.
According to Lt. Col. Rubio, said projects were part of the ‘Build, Build, Build’ program of the Duterte administration and the Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP) in Maria Aurora town.
The RCSP aims to address the identified issues and concerns of the community by closing the governance and development gaps; providing the community with their needs; and ensuring that development is sustained and peace is promoted.
Meanwhile, the Acting Commander of the 7th Infantry (KAUGNAY) Division, Philippine Army Brigadier General Luis Rex D. Bergante PA said that the Army, as part of the RTF-ELCAC, will continue to support the projects and programs under the RCSP for the development of the communities.
“Sa ilalim ng RCSP ating natutugunan ang mga pangunahing pangangailangan ng kumonidad. Gaya nitong mga tulay, magkakaroon ng mga livelihood opportunities ang mga tao at doon magsisimula ang pag-unlad ng pamayanan,” said BGen Bergante. (CRIS PALARCA)
