DKT Philippines Launches First Mobile Family Planning Clinic

On May 8, 2024, DKT Philippines Foundation Inc. launched the SODEX Mobile Clinic, the country’s first mobile family planning clinic, at the Casimiro Ynares Sr. Auditorium in Binangonan, Rizal.

The clinic will provide family planning services and supplies, including pills, condoms, injectables, free tubal ligation, and non-scalpel vasectomy. Over the next 119 days, the clinic will travel to Central Luzon, North Luzon, Cordillera, Mimaropa, and Calabarzon.

The launch event featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Department of Health Undersecretary Dr. Glenn Mathew Baggao, who also inspected the clinic to ensure it meets quality standards.

The SODEX Mobile Clinic aims to improve access to modern family planning methods, particularly for Filipinos in remote areas, supporting the DOH’s 8-Point Action Agenda and National Objectives for Health.
