SMX Convention Center, Pasay City — The country’s largest gathering for digital transformation was held this year under the leadership of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), which has over 30,000 members, according to PCCI Chairman Dennis Uy.

“Today is the largest gathering for digital transformation,” Uy said, noting that many business partners and other stakeholders will join the journey toward technological advancement.

Antonino, Chairman of the 51st Philippine Business Conference (PBC) & Tech Expo, formally declared the conference open.

In her welcome remarks, PCCI President Consul Enunina Mangio (previously referred to as Leonina Maquio) thanked the guests, delegates, and Vice President Sara Z. Duterte, who served as the keynote speaker.

Mangio said that the two-day discussions are “imperative for national digital transformation.”

“Artificial intelligence (AI) represents a quantum leap for humanity,” she said, citing blockchain as an example of digital innovation.
“The question is whether the Philippines will stand at the forefront of this change,” she added.
“We seek transformation that brings progress, not restriction,” Mangio emphasized.

During the event, several companies were recognized for their excellence in innovation and environmental responsibility, including:

– Environmental Innovation Award (Small Enterprise Category)

– Environmental Stewardship Award (Large Enterprise Category) – Mitsubishi Motors

– Excellence in Ecology and Economy Award – Monde Nissin

– Grand Winner of the Alberto S. Yao Award

In her speech, Vice President Sara Duterte expressed joy in joining the Philippine Business Conference and Expo once again.
“I congratulate the PCCI for successfully hosting the 51st PBC & Tech Expo,” she said.

Duterte underscored the importance of the event’s theme, “Unleashing the Potential of Digital Transformation,” which she described as “paving the way for the future.”

“Digital transformation and AI have drastically changed our lives,” Duterte said. “Our goal is to maximize our human and digital potential for development and nation-building.”

“The welfare of the people is our highest priority. If technology is a blessing, let us use it to protect the rights and well-being of the people,” she added.

The Vice President also warned against the Philippines being left behind in regional and global technological development.
“It is alarming to be left behind in the region and in the world,” she said.
“Because the people deserve better,” she added.
She closed her message by affirming, “Everything we do is for God and for the Nation.”
