Two female drug pushers were arrested by anti-narcotics operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) during a buy-bust operation in Pasay City on November 26, 2014.
PDEA Director General Undersecretary Arturo G. Cacdac, Jr. identified the suspects as sisters Saimah Datumanong y Erga, 26 years old, single; and Bibe Datumanong y Erga, 35. Both are residents of Rimas, Baclaran, Parañaque City.
At around 2:00 in the afternoon, an undercover agent of PDEA Regional Office – National Capital Region (PDEA RO-NCR) under Atty. Jacquelyn L. De Guzman, Regional Director, who acted as poseur-buyer was able to enter into a drug transaction with the Datumanong sisters at the parking area of the SM Mall of Asia, Pasay City.
“After handing over the illegal drug to the poseur-buyer, the Datumanong sisters were immediately arrested by PDEA operatives.” Cacdac said.
The sisters yielded one piece of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet of methamphetamine hydrochloride, or shabu, weighing 100 grams and the buy-bust money.
Appropriate charges for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), and Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), Article II, of Republic Act 9165, or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are now being prepared for filing in court against the Datumanong sisters.
