SSS Sickness, Maternity at EC benefits diretso na sa Bank Account ng Miyembro

Kasama din sa larawan ang mga kinatawan ng SSS partner banks, tulad ng Asia United Bank, Bank of Commerce, China Banking Corporation, CityState Savings Bank Inc., Country Builders Bank Inc., CTBC Bank Corporation, Development Bank of the Philippines, East West Bank, First Consolidated Bank, Innovative Bank, Land Bank of the Philippines, Merchant Savings Bank, One Network Bank, Phil Bank of Communications, Philippine Business Bank, Philippine Savings Bank, Philippine National Bank, PNB Savings Bank, Philippine Veterans Bank, Postbank Savings Bank, Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation, Security Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, Union Bank of the Philippines at United Coconut Planters Bank. Kabilang din sa SMEC-PB Program ang Century Savings Bank, Guagua Rural Bank at Philippine Trust Company.

Lumagda at nagsanib puwersa ang mga opisyal ng SSS at 25 partners bank sa isang Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) para sa pinalawak na Sickness, Maternity at Employees’ Compensation Payment-thru-the-Bank (SMEC-PB) Program, na ginanap sa Ramon Magsyasay Hall ng SSS main office sa Diliman, Quezon City noong nakaraang  Abril 19, 2016.

Mula sa SMEC-PB, direkta ng ipapadala ang SSS sickness, maternity at Employees Compensation (EC) benefit payments sa automated teller machine (ATM) at sa current o savings accounts ng bawat miyembro. Mas mabilis at ligtas itong paraan para makuha ng mga self-employed at boluntaryong miyembro, non-working spouse, overseas Filipino workers at empleyadong miyembro ng SSS na tumigil sa pagtatrabaho ang kanilang cash benefits.

Sa ilalim ng kasunduan, mas pinabilis ang proseso at mababawasan ang gastos ng SSS sa pag-iimprenta at pagpapadala ng tseke, habang dumarami naman ang mga kliyente ng mga partner-banks ng SSS dahil sa may mga magbubukas ng bagong bank accounts. Nauna ng ginawang mandatory para sa mga employers ang sickness at maternity benefit payment-thru-the-bank (SMB-PB) program para sa SSS reimbursements.
