Pinangunahan ni BFAR National Fisherfolk Director Teddy A. Matulac bilang pangunahing bisita at tagapagsalita ang isinagawang Graduation Ceremony ng Fifth Batch DA-BFAR Personnel na nagtapos ng kanilang Law Enforcement Trainning nitong nakaraang May 2, 2016, na mula sa “ Class Masilak”
May bilang na 52 personnel ang mga nagtapos na naka- kumpleto ng kanilang Law Enforcement Trainning.
Umaabot na ngayon sa 293 ang bilang ng mga Law Inforcement personnel ng Department of Agriculture-Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (DA-BFAR) na nakahandang mag-ronda o magbantay sa pala-isdaan sa teritoryo ng Pilipinas.
Ang “Class Masilak” ay nag umpisa ng trainning nitong nakaraang Pebrero 2016 na kung saan ito ang fifth batch ng mga volunteer personnel na naka kumpleto ng tatlong buwan na law enforcement boot camp sa National Brackishwater Fisheries Technology Center sa Pagbilao, Quezon. Si Ms. Maida dela Cruz ng BFAR Region 8 ang batch’s valedictorian sa lahat ng mga nagtapos..
Sa ipinarating na mensahe ni DA-BFAR Director Asis G. Perez. ang “Class Masilak,” whose training started February this year, is the fifth batch of volunteer personnel to complete the three-month “The growing number of our passionate and committed fishery law enforcers is a testament that the government is serious in protecting our waters and improving the livelihood opportunities of our fisherfolk”.
Magugunitang, ang law enforcement training program ng DA-BFAR ay nagsimula pa ng October taong 2014. Nabuo ang Programang ito dahil na rin sa natatanggap na report ng DA-BFAR office mula sa mga lehitimong mangingisda na may mga Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated (IUU) na nangingisda sa teritoryo ng Pilipinas.
“The training was divided into two parts: the 30-day transition period where participants are indoctrinated in discipline, conduct and values, basic tactical and physical training and the 60-day training on BFAR operations and protocols, fishery laws and aquatic protection, shipboard operations and practicum, advance tactical training, water search and rescue, field training exercises and physical development program. The trainees are closely supervised by BFAR’s Law Enforcement Unit.”(Click picture below to enlarge)
