The Department of Science and Technology – Industrial Technology Development Institute (DOST-ITDI) had a groundbreaking ceremony for the Simulation Packaging Laboratory (SPTL) and Green Packaging Laboratory (GPL) at the DOST Compound, Taguig City, Metro Manila last March 5, 2019.
Groundbreaking Ceremony was attended by officials of DOST and other invited guests. This was led by DOST Sec. Fortunato De La Pena, DOST Usec. Rowena Cristina Guevarra, Dra. Annabelle V. Briones, Dr. Paringit, Dr. Tanafrancia, and Mr. Paulo Bunog.
The construction of the said building is a dream come true and now became a reality to Industrial Technology Development Institute (ITDI) because for decades, they don’t have a building of their own.
Officials of DOST particularly with the cooperation of ITDI have exerted their efforts and by all means made this possible with optimism that this project be a success.
RITVIT Construction and Development Corporation is the contractor/supplier of the said project. The duration of work will approximately be completed within 240 days. Its brief description of the project; Testing Laboratory with Architectural, Civil, Electrical, Sanitary and Mechanical works. With cost estimate of P116,827,383.58.
The ITDI hopes that this institute/building would enhance their productivity and morale to their upcoming projects that they can proudly share to the Filipinos and rest of the world. (Written by: Adela Garapan Ida)
