Newly-promoted officials have recently been sworn in the office by the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Secretary Brother John Castriciones through an online oath-taking rites.
Brother John said the newly appointed officials are given enormous responsibilities because they are the one who will be contributing to the betterment and development of the country. “During these trying times, farmers proved to the country that they play a very important role in ensuring food sufficiency. You are tasked to look after their welfare. Give our farmers assistance, support and let us empower them,” Brother John reminded the officers.
On Friday, November 11, Brother John swore in Pacito Canonoy, Jr. as Regional Agrarian Reform Adjudicator (RARAD) for MIMAROPA and Maria Theresa Valencia as Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer (PARPO) of Aklan. He also swore in Antonio Victor Ros, Jr. and Pacifico Mabato as Chairman of the respectively.
In his speech, Brother John reminded the newly appointed officials of their obligation to serve with integrity and to discharge their duties with utmost efficiency, honesty, and competence. “Pour all of your energy into your new positions and be committed to the path you are walking. Move unwaveringly with your colleagues in one clear direction and that direction will lead you and your provinces to achieve your goals,” he said.
“Know that you will always have my complete support as long as you resist any temptation that will taint your character and reputation as public servants of DAR,” Brother John said.
