Camp Olivas, San Fernando, Pampanga – Police authorities were able to arrest three (3) suspected drug peddlers and seized more or less Php1.7 million worth of shabu during an anti-illegal drug operation in Mabalacat, Pampanga early Friday, January 14.
PRO3 Regional Director PBGEN MATTHEW P BACCAY said that joint operating troops of Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit3, Special Concern Unit3-Regional Intelligence Division and Mabalacat CPS conducted buy-bust operation at Brgy. Sta Maria, Mabalacat City, Pampanga which resulted in the arrest of Alvin CORTEZ y Garcia, Rosa Linda DIZON y Cura and Orlando CORTEZ y GARCIA, all residents of Xevera Subdivision, Mabalacat City Pampanga.
Confiscated evidence from the trio were three (3) pieces of knot-tied transparent plastic bags containing suspected “shabu” weighing more or less 250 grams with DDB value of Php1,700,000.00; one (1) BDO passbook; one (1) driver’s license; one (1) Vivo cellphone; one (1) weighing scale; one (1) body bag; two (2) pieces of genuine Php1,000.00 bill with 98 pieces boodle money; and one (1) red Toyota Vios.
Appropriate charges for violations of Section 5 and 11, Article II of RA 9165 are being prepared for court referral.
PBGEN BACCAY said that the entire Central Luzon police force is continuously keeping on its toes to eradicate all forms of illegal drugs in line with the guidelines of PNP Chief PGEN DIONARD B CARLOS. (CRIS PALARCA)
