A total of 180 job orders and contractual workers of the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Sta. Rosa City are now members of the Social Security System (SSS) after a memorandum of agreement was signed by the two offices last March 30, 2015.

Under the agreement, Santa Rosa LGU will deduct and remit to SSS the monthly contributions of their job order and contractual workers from their monthly salaries. It will also be responsible for the submission of collection reports for posting of their contributions to SSS. The new members are enrolled under the E-AlkanSSSya program of SSS.

“We are targeting all the 18 barangays of Santa Rosa City to be covered under the E-AlkanSSSya program of SSS and the JOCs serve as our initial coverage in the locality in partnership with the LGU of promoting social security protection to the Informal Sector Group.” SSS Santa Rosa Branch Head Grace V. Rieta-Velasco said.
