Fort Magsaysay, Nueva Ecija – The 48th Infantry (Guardians) Battalion strengthened its partnership in Norzagaray, Bulacan by participating the joint Municipal Peace and Order Council (MPOC), Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MDAC), Municipal Council for the Protection of Children (MCPC) and Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC) Meeting at Multi-Purpose Hall, Poblacion, Norzagaray, Bulacan on February 21, 2020. It is done through the “Whole of Nation” approach.

The joint meeting was presided by Mr. Dante D. Boac of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) and emphasized the role of the Barangay Council and every citizen of the society through the whole-of-nation approach especially on the government’s program under Executive Order No. 70

The meeting was participated by the Norzagaray Municipal Police Station, 48IB, Municipal Trial Court, Department of Education, Bureau of Fire Protection, Department Heads of the Local Government Unit of Norzagaray, Sangguniang Bayan members, Christian Movement Concerned for Norzagaray, 13 Barangay Chairperson and the National Commission on Indigenous People.

Topics agreed to be discussed in the next meeting are the enhancement of Programs, Activities and Projects allocated for peace and order and the Joint Full Council meeting with the Barangay Council, Department Heads and other Non-government Agencies (NGAs).

7th Infantry (Kaugnay) Division Commander, Major General Lenard T. Agustin said: “It is therefore necessary to conduct relevant gatherings such as this in order to synchronize the efforts of the different agencies to support the Executive Order no 70 or the whole-of-nation approach.”

Meanwhile, Lieutenant Colonel Felix Emeterio M. Valdez stressed its support with the LGU.

“48IB will always give its full support to this kinds of efforts set by the local government of Norzagaray, Bulacan. As a member of security sector, we aim for a sustainable peace and further development in the municipality through executive order No 70.”
