CAMP OLIVAS, SAN FERNANDO, PAMPANGA —  two notorious drug pushers died while illegal drugs (Shabu) worth more or less Php 1.6 million were seized during a buy bust operation turned shootout at Brgy. Diliman 1st, San Rafael, Friday night.

PBGEN Rhodel O. Sermonia, identified the suspects who died during the shootout with joint operatives of Bulacan Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB) and San Rafael Police as Andres Marcolita y Morandante @Andy from Villaroma Village, Tabe Guiguinto, Bulacan and Gil Manaog y Solis from Padre Garcia, Batangas.

Sermonia further said, the suspects were able to sell a medium size heat sealed transparent plastic of suspected shabu to a poseur buyer. However, when the suspects sensed that they are transacting with authorities, they eventually drew their gun and fired towards the operatives but missed prompting the operating team to retaliate; thus, a gunfight ensued.  Both suspects sustained gunshot wounds on the different parts of their body and San Rafael Rescue Team rushed the duo to Baliwag District Hospital but were pronounced dead on arrival by attending physician.

Recovered from the crime scene were the following: one (1) caliber 45 pistol Colt with inserted magazine, one (1) caliber 45 pistol Para Ordnance loaded with five (5) live ammunition, eight (8) caliber 9mm fired cartridge cases, five (5) caliber 45 fired cartridge cases, twenty-nine (29) caliber 45 cartridge, aluminum foil and a total of nine (9) heat sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu with estimated weight of 220 grams with estimated value of Php 1, 650,000.00.

Further investigation disclosed that the two slain suspects were notorious in selling illegal drugs in different towns in Bulacan.
