The Social Security System (SSS) has added employer registration and submission of the initial list of employees as among the online transactions available in the National Government-initiated Central Business Portal (CBP) project.
CBP, which was launched on January 28 in accordance with Republic Act 11032 or the Ease in Doing Business and Efficient Delivery of Government Services Act, aims to promote effective service delivery and transparency in the government by streamlining the registration of a business, renewal of permits, and other related activities through online transactions.
“As one of the agencies involved in business registration, we welcome this government initiative since this will provide entrepreneurs a one-stop online shop where they can conveniently apply and submit business documentary requirements,” SSS President and Chief Executive Officer Aurora C. Ignacio said.
Other agencies involved in the CBP are the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth), and Home Development Mutual Fund (Pag-IBIG).
Phase 1 of the CBP covers one-person corporations and corporations with five employees or less that need to generate their respective Tax Identification Number (TIN) electronically from the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and Employer Registration Numbers from the SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG.
“The portal also offers a Unified Employee Reporting Module for SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG as a feature. It means employers do not have to access separate websites just to fill out application forms from each government agency. The CBP system combines the application forms of these agencies for one-time data capture of employers’ information,” Ignacio explained.
“With the availability of CBP, we are looking forward for a better online service experience among business owners as we are gear towards easier, faster, safer, and more convenient transactions through our ExpreSSS Services,” Ignacio concluded.
ExpreSSS is the state pension fund’s digital services program that aims to provide SSS members with simpler, faster, and more convenient means for registration, filing of benefit and loan applications, and other transactions.
