The Department of Science and Technology-Technology Application and Promotion Institute (DOST-TAPI) is calling on local inventors to participate and showcase their groundbreaking inventions in the Regional Invention Contest and Exhibit (RICE) 2023.
RICE is a nationwide activity conducted by DOST-TAPI in different regions to recognize the indispensability of Filipino inventors in Philippine society and in the landscape of national economic development.
Throughout the years, the competition has highlighted the importance and contributions of inventions and research in national development, and regional winners are given opportunities to present their inventions at the national level.
For 2023, RICE will be hosted in five clusters, and the cluster winners will compete in the National Invention Contest. The cluster in Mindanao includes Region IX, X, XI, XII, XIII, and BARMM.
The competition is categorized into Invention, Utility Model, Industrial Design, Creative Research Categories, and Student Creative Research Categories.
