Women farmer-members of the Dupligan Farmers Multipurpose Cooperative (DUFAMCO) in Tabuk City, Kalinga remove dirt and low-quality coffee beans from a batch ready for roasting. DUFAMCO is the lead proponent group for the Kalinga Integrated Coffee Processing and Marketing Enterprise, a P14.8 million-worth subproject assisted by the Department of Agriculture’s Philippine Rural Development Project (DA-PRDP). In partnership with Kalinga’s local government units, the DA-PRDP’s subproject is expected to provide more livelihood opportunities for the locals, especially women.
