The Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST-PCAARRD) received an Emerald Award from the Anglo Japanese American (AJA) Registrars Inc. (A Company of SOCOTEC), in recognition of the Council’s loyalty and long-term partnership with the company.
AJA Registrars Inc. is a third party certification body operating from a global network of offices offering third party registration and training services. During the SOCOTEC Certification International Brand Unveiling and Client Appreciation Night held last January 11, 2019, AJA officially announced its expansion as it joins the SOCOTEC Group of Companies, a Europe-based corporation specializing in testing, inspection and certification services. Apart from unveiling its new certification brand – SOCOTEC Certification International – the event also highlighted the company’s appreciation for its customers’ support throughout the years.
Dr. Melvin B. Carlos, PCAARRD’s Deputy Executive Director for Administration, Resource Management and Support Services (ARMSS), accompanied by Dr. Lilian G. Bondoc, Policy Coordination and Monitoring Division (PCMD) Director and Quality Management Representative (QMR), received a plaque of recognition for the Emerald Award, an honor given to AJA Registrars Inc.’s clients who have engaged their services for three registration cycles.
PCAARRD and AJA Registrars Inc.’s partnership began in 2013 when the latter facilitated PCAARRD’s application for ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System (QMS) Certification. The partnership continued for the Council’s ISO 9001:2008 re-certification in 2016 and the recent re-certification for ISO 9001:2015 last 2018 (Azel Glory C.
