Fort Magsaysay, Nueva Ecija – In line with the celebration of the 33rd Founding Anniversary of the 7th Infantry (Kaugnay) Division, Philippine Army, dwarf coconut seedlings from the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) were planted at Brgy. Nazareth, General Tinio, Nueva Ecija on July 16, 2021.

Said coconut planting activity was led by 7ID Commander, Major General Alfredo V. Rosario Jr., and was participated by the top-ranking officers of 7ID and its Enlisted Personnel from post units.

In a simple ceremony, Dr. Chricept T. Viloria, of PCA Region 3, handed over the signed Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to Col Emerito D Pineda, Commanding Officer 7th Installation Management Battalion (7IMB) in connection with the Coconut Plantation Project between the PCA and 7ID inside the Fort Magsaysay Military Reservation (FMMR).

Grateful for the project, the 7ID Commander said that he hoped that there will be more collaborative projects in the future with the PCA that will boost the government’s campaign to plant more coconut trees.

“Nagpapasalamat ang inyong kasundaluhan ng 7ID sa tiwala na ibinigay ng PCA para sa matagumpay nating pakikipag-ugnayan upang maipatupad ang proyektong ito. Naging makabuluhan ang aming ika-33 taong selebrasyon ng anibersaryo ng 7ID dahil sa pagkakataong ibinahagi at ipinagkatiwala ninyo sa amin,” said MGen. Rosario Jr.(CRIS PALARCA)
