Team Gilas Pilipinas debuted with a very exciting game against the Dominican Republic team in the on-going FIBA World Cup at the Philippine Arena August 25, 2023.
The Dominican Republic defeated the Gilas Pilipinas 87-81.
Gilas has Jordan Clarkson with 28 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assist while the Dominicana has Karl-Anthony Towns who has 26 points and 10 rebounds.
It was a very close fight between the two teams until Clarkson commited his fifth foul which doomed Gilas defeat. (Max A. Ferrer)
