SOCIAL SECURITY SYSTEM
The Social Security System (SSS) is pleased to offer its PENSION LOAN PROGRAM (PLP) to qualified Retirement Pensioners with a loanable amount of up to Php200,000.00. The PLP aims to assist SSS retirement pensioners in their short-term financial needs with secure loans that do not impose high interest rates and processing fees, nor require the surrender of ATM cards as collateral.
If you have not yet applied for an SSS Pension Loan, you will be delighted to know that this safe and affordable loan is open to all Retirement Pensioners who meet the following conditions:
a) must be receiving his/her regular monthly pension for at least one (1) month and status of pension is “Active”;
b) must be 85 years of age or below at the end of the month of loan term;
c) with no deductions from his/her monthly pension (such as for outstanding loan balance, benefit overpayment payable to SSS, etc.); and
d) must have no existing advance pension under any SSS Calamity Assistance Package.
Pensioner-borrowers can avail themselves of a loan equivalent to 3X up to 12X the sum of their Basic Monthly Pension (BMP) and the additional benefit of P1,000, with a low interest rate of only 10% per annum. Payment terms can be 6, 12 or 24 months.
To apply for a Pension Loan, simply log-in to your My.SSS account in the SSS website (www.sss.gov.ph) or you may click this link https://bit.ly/HowtoPLP for the step-by-step procedures on how to apply. If you still do not have a My.SSS account, please log-in to the SSS website to create one, as well as to enroll a disbursement account through which the pension loan will be credited. Those qualified for Pension Loan may also submit their applications to any SSS branches (over-the counter).
