KALINGA, APAYAO — The Green Luzon Project turned over hazard maps to the Barangay Local Government Unit (BLGU) of Malayugan to strengthen community preparedness and awareness of disaster risks.
Funded by AECID and Caritas Española and implemented through Caritas Philippines and the Apostolic Vicariate of Tabuk (AVT), the initiative was facilitated under the leadership of Rev. Fr. Jeorge D. Manisem, AVT Social Action Director and Area Coordinator.
The hazard maps were received by Barangay Captain Hon. Roland R. Tolentino and Barangay Kagawad and Malayugan Women’s Association President Hon. Evangeline Pilotin.
The activity is part of Component 3: Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) of the Green Luzon Project, which supports informed and community-based disaster preparedness and risk reduction efforts.
