Tacloban City (August 17, 2018) – Larrazabal property offered for CARP coverrage. Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Secretary John R. Castriciones (right in white), DAR Region 8 Director Shiela B. Enciso (right in green shirt), together with Inaki A. Larrazabal representatives Andrea Maria S. Gica, Leo Bastatas and Ernesto Villasan conducted an initial consultative meeting yesterday, relative to the more 800-hectare Larrazabal property located in Villaba and Leyte, Leyte. The said property, planted mostly with coconuts, was offered to DAR for CARP coverage, with an initial of 26 landholdings covering more 500 hectares already covered and issued with Certificates of Landownership Award (CLOAs). Another landholding covering more than 300 hectares is still in the process of pre-ocular inspection with an identified 173 possible farmer beneficiaries.
