Enchanted Kingdom (EK), the Philippines’ premier theme park, has received notable recognition from various government agencies, solidifying its position as a world-class entertainment destination in Asia and a leader in family leisure. In the first semester of 2023, the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) acknowledged EK as the second-highest Value Added Tax contributor in the Biñan – West Laguna District, emphasizing the company’s commitment to timely and accurate tax payments.

Melissa Y. Monicayo, EK’s Chief Financial Officer, highlighted the company’s dedication to fulfilling its tax obligations as a means of contributing to the community and supporting the region’s progress. EK was also recognized by Santa Rosa City Mayor Arlene B. Arcillas as one of the city’s top taxpayers during the Giant Parol Lighting event held in November.

Furthermore, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) awarded EK a special recognition for being the first and longest Go Lokal retail partner. This acknowledgment was presented during the FlexPinoy: Saludo sa Go Lokal! Retail Partners ceremony at the DTI Head Office. Enchanted Kingdom actively participates in the “Go Lokal” initiative, promoting indigenous products through its local souvenir shop, “Pugad,” established in 2016.

In December, EK received an award during the “Mabuhay at Salamat Po! Filipino Brand of Service Excellence (FBSE) Recognition Celebration of Love.” Led by DOT Secretary Maria Christina Frasco, the event acknowledged Enchanted Kingdom’s significant contributions to the FBSE, particularly in training over 89% of its full-time Cast Members under the DOT’s flagship program. The program aims to enhance the quality of tourism services in the country and has a goal to train 100% of full-time Cast Members by the next year.

Notably, EK’s Chief Operating Officer, Dr. Cynthia R. Mamon, announced the theme park’s achievement as a finalist in two categories for the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) Brass Ring Excellence Award. EK is recognized in the Human Resources Excellence: Best Health and Wellbeing Strategy category and the Games and Merchandise Excellence: Best Retail Visual Merchandise Display category. The award winners will be officially announced and celebrated at The Venetian, Las Vegas, in March 2024.

Dr. Mamon expressed optimism for the coming year, stating that 2023 marked a remarkable recovery from the pandemic’s impact. Looking ahead, EK aims to deliver more magical experiences in 2024, continuing its legacy of providing world-class leisure and entertainment to Filipinos with the motto, “Be the Magic… Be Enchanted!”
